We cannot stress enough how important it is to correctly measure to ensure a correct fit of your hand-made leather products. If you have ever tried on "off the rack clothing” they never tend to fit correctly. Even if you feel you know what size you wear, you still need to be measured to ensure that you are going to get the correct size and fit of your new semi-custom clothing. Do not go by your jean size for your waist. We take the time to make the clothing correctly, therefore you need to take the time to measure correctly. We make all our leather and chainmail products in 1" incurments. Therefore, that is exactly how you need to order the size. Example, do not give us a size range of say 40" - 42". You give us the exact size of 40", 41" or 42". We take the time to make your size accurate, so you should take the time to measure it accurately. Please use either a tape measure (NON-METAL) or a string and a ruler for the measuring process. It also helps if you have a friend to help. Your measurements will be more accurate if some one else measures you while you are standing up straight. See photo and hints on matching the measurement requirements.
You can purchase a quality tape measure in the fabric department at any Wal-mart, K-mart, local drug store like Wal-greens, CVS Pharmacy for about or less than a buck. Or go to your local dry cleaners and they will many times measure you for free.
